Schalke Day 2020 – digital this year

A Schalke Day without 100,000 fans in and around the premises? It sounds unthinkable, but in times of the Coronavirus, it is unfortunately unavoidable. However, FC Schalke 04 don’t want to miss out on offering members and fans the chance to get in the mood for the new season with a digital event.

Around three hours before the Königsblauen face Revier neighbours VfL Bochum in a friendly at 15:30 CEST at the Parkstadion, the digital Schalke Day will begin on the club’s official YouTube channel (a specific start time is yet to be announced). All fans will have the opportunity to follow the varied programme live on desktop or mobile.

In the build-up to the game, there will be a digital presentation of the team, as well as live interviews with executives Alexander Jobst and Jochen Schneider and head coach David Wagner. Additionally, club legends will take part in a live question and answer session.

Live performance from WEEKEND

Fans will also be able to look forward to a digital pub quiz, a charitable raffle, club-shop discounts and much more. A special highlight of the day will be a live performance from Gelsenkirchen-based rapper Weekend with his hit “Eine Liebe”.

There will be 300 fans allowed in the ground in attendance for the friendly. Ticket information will be made available by the club in the coming days.

Note: All events and matches will take place in view of the developments of the Coronavirus pandemic and could be cancelled at short notice if necessary.
