Second round of Covid-19 testing finds no further infections

Good news from Längenfeld, as the second round of Covid-19 testing has found no further infections in the Schalke setup. Schalke had carried out more tests after a member of the training camp setup had tested positive. That person has been in self-isolation since Sunday (23/8) without symptoms.

Schalke will continue their daily business as planned at their training camp in Austria. Contact group 1 will continue to be separated from contact group 2. Everyone will continue to follow the hygiene guidelines, and team doctor and hygiene officer Dr. Patrick Ingelfinger remains in contact with the local authorities in Austria.

A friendly on Friday (28/8) can now take place after two rounds of tests all came back negative. Details on an opponent, venue and kick-off time will be announced shortly before the game.
