Short training camp and friendly against Norwich City

The Royal Blues have added to their pre-season plans: head coach David Wagner’s side will take part in a short training camp in Herzlake from Tuesday 16th July to Friday 19th July.

The team will depart from Emsland and head to Lotte in Westphalia on Friday, where Norwich City will be waiting for them. The friendly is set to kick off at 18:30 CEST in the Frimo Stadion.

The English club, nicknamed ‘The Canaries,’ were promoted into the Premier League last season under the direction of German head coach Daniel Farke. Former Schalke attacker Teemu Pukki played a key role in Norwich’s successful promotion, and can look forward to a reunion of sorts in Lotte. Pukki scored 29 goals for Norwich City last season, and took home awards as the Championship’s top goal-scorer and player of the season.

Jonjoe Kenny: A lot of things are falling into place

After a successful first competitive game of the season in Drochtersen, FC Schalke 04 are looking ahead to their first Bundesliga match on Saturday (17/8, 18:30 CEST) at Borussia Mönchengladbach. Jonjoe Kenny, who arrived at S04 on a loan deal during the summer break, revealed in an interview that he is already looking forward to the matchup at the weekend.


S04 Esports travels to Asia for the first time

As one of the first football clubs, FC Schalke 04 has been engaged in electronic sports since May 2016. Now the Royal Blues are traveling to Asia with its very own esports division. From August 14th to 18th the delegation around FIFA professional Tim "Tim Latka" Schwartmann will be visiting the East Chinese metropolis Shanghai.
