#STEHTAUF: Special shirts for Friday’s game

The club’s main sponsor MeinAuto.de and training top sponsor HRS have agreed to not have their logos on FC Schalke 04’s shirts for Friday’s home game against VfL Wolfsburg (10/2).

#STEHTAUF am Spieltag: Warmup und Spiel in Sondertrikot

Instead, Thomas Reis’ team will wear shirts featuring the #STEHTAUF slogan, the club’s motto for the campaign which stands against discrimination and encourages tolerance.

The fact that we can have our motto #STEHTAUF on our shirts on Friday means a lot to us.

Bernd Schröder

Bernd Schröder, Schalke CEO, is pleased with the cooperation from the club’s partners: “As a well-known and big football club we have to lead by example in society. That means we have to stand for tolerance, respect and togetherness, and against racism, anti-Semitism and all forms of hate and abuse. The fact that we can have our motto #STEHTAUF on our shirts on Friday means a lot to us. We would like to thank MeinAuto.de and HRS, who were happy to support us without giving it a second thought.”

The match worn shirts will be auctioned after the game, with the proceeds going to the club’s foundation, Schalke hilft!

The motto #STEHTAUF has been used by the club now since the 2019/20 season. During this campaign week, the whole club has been active against discrimination and been campaigning for more tolerance, respect and togetherness. All these things are more important now during times of war and crises than ever before.
