Tom Krauß and Henning Matriciani nominated for Rookie of the Season

The Bundesliga awards the ‘Rookie of the Month’ to the best young player every month. Tom Krauß has won the award twice this season, with Henning Matriciani picking it up once. The ‘Knappen’ duo are now up for the ‘Rookie of the Season’ award.

Lee Buchanan (Werder Bremen), Eric Junior Dina Ebimbe (Eintracht Frankfurt), Karim Adeyemi (Borussia Dortmund) and Matthijs de Ligt (Bayern Munich) are the other nominees.

Schalke fans can vote for Tom Krauß, who won the award in September 2022 and February 2023, and Henning Matriciani, who won in March, at rookie-award.com until Thursday (18/05) at 23:59 CEST.

In order to qualify for Rookie of the Month, the nominee has to be younger than 23 on the first matchday of the season, not have started a Bundesliga game before this season and have played a maximum of 450 minutes in the top division up until that point.
