Amine Harit celebrates win in final pre-World Cup friendly

After Breel Embolo, Leon Goretzka and Marko Pjaca celebrated wins earlier, Amine Harit and Morocco are also heading to Russia on the back on a win after a 3-1 win over Estonia. In Talinn, the Schalke man played 47 minutes in Talinn.

Morocco’s goals came from former Schalke man Younes Belhanda, Hakim Ziyech and Youssef En-Nesyri. Ats Purje scored for the hosts. Morocco will play on Friday against Iran in their first World Cup clash. Later on, Morocco will take on Spain and Portugal in Group B.

Weston McKennie impresses

Weston McKennie also impressed last night in the USA’s friendly with France. Though the USA will not travel to Russia this summer, the Stars and Stripes put in a strong performance before their summer break. Against World Cup favourites France, the USA almost won in Lyon after Julian Green’s opener just before half-time but Kylian Mbappe equalised in the closing stages. McKennie played the full 90 minutes.
