Taylan Bulut and Germany U19s beat Hungary in final group game
Taylan Bulut and Germany U19s also won their third game in the first qualifying round for the 2025 UEFA European Under-19 Championship. They ran out 2-1 winners in Andorra la Vella against Hungary on Monday evening (18/11).
Schalke’s defender came off the bench in the 70th minute with Germany trailing 1-0, meaning the 18-year-old featured in all three fixtures during this international break.
Germany’s goals late on were scored by Leipzig’s Robert Ramsak (75’) and Cercle Brugge’s Paris Bunner (78’). Bulut assisted Ramsak’s equaliser after Benedek Simon of Budapest Honvéd had put Hungary in front a minute before the break.
Both teams had already booked their place in the second qualifying round before the game after they each beat Cyprus and Andorra. The next stage, known as the elite round, will be played in early 2025, with the main tournament scheduled for 13th to 26th June 2025 in Romania.
