Taylan Bulut named in Germany squad for UEFA European Under-19 Championship

Right-back Taylan Bulut has been selected by Germany coach Hanno Balitsch for the UEFA European Under-19 Championship. Mika Khadr, who signed a professional contract at S04 valid until 2028 back in December, is on the standby list.

The tournament in Romania begins on 13th June with fixtures between Spain and Denmark and Montenegro against the hosts. Germany’s campaign begins a day later against the Netherlands (19:00 CEST). Their other opponents in Group B are England (17/6, 19:00) and Norway (20/6, 19:00). The teams that finish in first and second place in each group will qualify for the semi-finals (23rd June). The final will be played on 26th June.

While Taylan Bulut has been a regular for Schalke’s first team all season in Bundesliga 2, Mika Khadr from the U19s earned himself a place on the standby list for the final squad after playing in last week’s friendly against Denmark (14/5). The centre-back came off the bench in the 59th minute.
