Germany score at the death to win

The Germany national team kept their World Cup hopes alive with a last gasp 2-1 win versus Sweden.

At the halfway stage, it wasn’t looking bright for the reigning World Cup holders as Ola Toivonen put Sweden ahead just after the 30 minute mark. Marco Reus pulled a goal back in the 48th minute before Toni Kroos scored a delightful free-kick in added time to win the game for Germany.

In Group F, Germany have three points on the board and are level with Sweden in second spot. Germany will play South Korea on Wednesday while Sweden simultaneously take on Mexico.
