Henning Matriciani and Tom Krauß in the preliminary squad for U21 European Championship

Antonio Di Salvo announced his preliminary squad for the upcoming U21 European Championship on Friday (2/6), with the Germany coach included Henning Matriciani and Tom Krauß. The tournament will be held in Romania and Georgia from 21st June to 8th July.

By the evening of 14th June, the German Football Association must give UEFA its final squad, which can include 23 players, with 26 players travelling to the training camp beforehand in South Tyrol. “There, every single one of them will get the opportunity to prove themselves,” explained Di Salvo.

During the training camp, the Germany U21s will play two friendly matches: First on 12th June against a selected side from South Tyrol and then against Switzerland on 16th June.

Around a week later, on 22nd June, the Germany side will start the European Championship against Israel. Their other opponents in Group C are the Czech Republic and England, who they will face on 25th June and 28the June respectively.
