After the hosts took an early lead through Semi Amallah (10th minute), it took until the 70th minute for the next goal. Youssef En-Nesyri made it 2-0 before Youssef El-Arabi put the game to bed in the 86th minute with a third for Morocco. Two minutes later, Senegal were awarded a penalty which was converted by Ismaila Sarr to produce a final score of 3-1.

Boujellab’s debut began 87 minutes into the game when he was brought on to replace Frankfurt’s Aymen Barkok. Hamza Mendyl and Salif Sané both started for their respective countries and were both taken off after around an hour.

On Tuesday (13th October), both teams face another friendly. Morocco take on the Democratic Republic of Congo at 20:00 CEST, with Senegal coming up against Mauritania an hour later.
