Yusuf Kabadayi in starting XI for Germany U20s in 1-1 draw in Poland

With Yusuf Kabadayi starting, the Germany U20 side drew 1-1 with Poland on Monday (11/9). It was the 19-year-old’s second appearance for the national side at this level. He completed the full 90 minutes. Previously, the winger had come on in the second half of the 1-1 against Italy.

Ben Bobzien scored Germany’s goal in Legnica. The striker, who is currently on loan at Austrian Bundesliga side Austria Lustenau from 1. FSV Mainz 05, scored the final goal in the 45th minute. Previously, Tomasz Pienko of Zaglebie Lubin had put the hosts ahead in the 36th minute.

The match took place without Hannes Wolf on the touchline. The head coach was not in Poland because he will be assisting Rudi Völler in the senior team’s game against France on Tuesday (12/9). He was replaced by his assistants Daniel Stredak, Stefan Wessels and Prof. Dr. Ulf Sobek.

The next round of U20 internationals come during the next international break in October. The German team will then face Portugal and Czechia.
