Konoplyanka’s Ukraine hold Portugal in EURO qualifier

Yevhen Konoplyanka became the first Royal Blue to kick off their EURO 2020 qualifying campaign on Friday night. The winger helped Ukraine spring a surprise against defending champions Portugal, with Cristiano Ronaldo & Co. held to a 0-0 draw.

Konoplyanka was named in Ukraine’s starting line-up and played 87 minutes of the goalless draw. He will now be hoping to help his nation to their first victory on Monday (25/3) when they take on current group leaders Luxembourg.
