Defeat against Brazil for McKennie

The USA faced a high profile opposition in Brazil in the early hours of Saturday morning. Weston McKennie completed 83 minutes, as goals from Roberto Firmino and Neymar (penalty) ensured a victory for Brazil. The 20-year-old was ever present and nearly scored his second international goal, only for Casemiro to put in a good block. The USA will now face Mexico on Wednesday.

Teuchert scores for Germany

The Germany U21s comfortably beat Mexico 3-0 in their friendly. Alexander Nübel and Suat Serdar were in the starting XI and completed 70 and 45 minutes of the game. Janni Serra, Aaron Seydel and Cedric Teuchert all got on the scoresheet, with the former coming on and playing the whole of the second half and also hitting the post just before the final whistle. On Tuesday, the Germany U21s take on Republic of Ireland U21s in a UEFA European Championship qualifier.

Benjamin Goller played his first ever game for the Germany U21s in a friendly against the Czech Republic. The 19-year-old completed 75 minutes as the game ended 3-2.
