Mehmet Can Aydin makes second U20 appearance in 1-1 draw with Norway

Schalke’s academy product Mehmet Can Aydin played the full 90 minutes of the Germany U20s 1-1 friendly draw with Norway in Zwickau. This was Aydin’s second cap for the U20s and his 26th in total for the DFB youth teams.

Malik Tillman from Bayern’s U23s put the Germany ahead on 34 minutes in the GGZ-Arena. Oscar Aga of Grogud IL converted a penalty in the 74th minute to level the scores. Four days before this friendly against Norway, the Germany U20s had beaten their Czech counterparts 2-0, with Aydin coming on in the 81st minute.

The team’s next tasks will be at the start of October. As part of an eleven-day trip, the U20s will take on Poland and Romania.
