Kabak played the full 90 minutes of his country’s comfortable victory in Andorra la Vella, where Turkey scored both of their goals early on in the 17th and 21st minute.

Turkey finished the group as runners up with 23 points from ten games. Defending world champions France picked up two more points and won the group.

Defeat for Markus Schubert

Markus Schubert and the Germany U21s suffered a 3-2 defeat in their European qualifier against Belgium. 16,504 spectators watched on in Freiburg as Markus Schubert played in goal for the duration, picking the ball out of his net on three times, which was enough for Belgium to take home the three points.

The result leaves Belgium top of the group, but with six points and a game in hand, the German youngsters, who had not lost a home qualifier since 2009, are still in pole position to qualify.
