Salif Sané and Senegal have reached the final of the Africa Cup 2019 after a 1-0 win over Tunisia in Cairo on Sunday (14/07).

Sané was introduced in the 81st minute of the game, marking the centre back’s third appearance of the tournament after suffering an injury in the opening game against Tanzania.

In a game that saw penalties missed at both ends of the field, it took extra time to find the only goal. Tunisia goalkeeper Mouez Hassen punched a cross which struck defender Dylan Bronn and deflected into the open goal in the 100th minute.

The final will be held on Friday at 21:00 CEST in Cairo, where Sané and Senegal will face Algeria for the trophy, who defeated Nigeria 2-1 in the other semi final.
