Sané was introduced into the game 60 seconds before full-time in Cairo for Idrissa Gueye, who had scored the only goal of the game in the 70th minute. It was the defender’s second appearance of the tournament, after picking up an ankle injury just over 15 minutes into in the opening game against Tanzania.

On Sunday (14/07), Sané and Senegal will face the winner of Madagascar and Tunisia in the semi final.
