Salif Sané to play in the Africa Cup of Nations
The Africa Cup will take place in the summer for the first time this year. The tournament held in Egypt between June 21 and July 19 will see one Royal Blue take part: Salif Sané.
The defender’s Senegal side will meet Tanzania, Kenya and Algeria in Group C. Sané won’t be meeting fellow S04 player Nabil Bentaleb though, with the midfielder currently out injured after an operation on his adductor.
Amine Harit will also miss the tournament. The 21-year-old was in Morocco’s preliminary squad, but wasn’t picked by coach Hervé Renard for the final 23-man squad.
Senegal will play one friendly before the tournament against Nigeria on Sunday (16/6, 19:45 CEST) in Dakar.
