Sané plays 90 minutes, Schöpf on bench
Austria won their final Nations League group game on Sunday, but Alessandro Schöpf didn’t play. Meanwhile, Salif Sané celebrated victory with Senegal on Saturday.
Austria win – Schöpf only on the bench
Alessandro Schöpf watched on from the bench as Austria beat Northern Ireland on Sunday. Xaver Schlager put Austria ahead in the 49th minute before Corry Evans scored the equaliser eight minutes later. Hertha BSC winger Valentino Lazaro then popped up with the winner in the third minute of extra time. Bosnia and Herzegovina have been promoted to League A, whilst Northern Ireland were relegated to League C.
Sané plays 90 minutes
The defender played the whole game on Saturday as Senegal beat Equatorial Guinea 1-0. The only goal of the game was an own-goal, with Luis Meseguer putting the ball into his own net. Senegal had already qualified for the finals before the match, and now have 13 points from five games.
