Schöpf came off the bench just before the end of 90 minutes in London for his second appearance of the tournament. Italy took the lead in extra time thanks to goals from Federico Chiesa (95’) and Matteo Pessina (105’). Stuttgart’s Sasa Kalajdzic pulled one back in the 114th minute, but the Italians held on to reach the quarterfinals.

Frederik Rönnow, on loan from Eintracht Frankfurt until the end of the month, is yet to feature so far at EURO 2020. Nonetheless, his Denmark side beat Wales 4-0 to reach the next round.
