Moussa Sylla named in Mali squad

Mali’s national coach Tom Saintfiet has selected Moussa Sylla in his squad for the upcoming friendly against the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The Schalke striker will be hoping to win his third cap for his home country.

Mali will meet DR Congo in a friendly next Thursday (5/6) in Orléans in France. Kick-off at the Stade de la Source will be at 20:00 CEST. Moussa Sylla’s fine season for Schalke, which saw him net 16 goals in 27 league games, has seen him earn a spot in Mali’s 23-man squad.

The 25-year-old has been called up on two previous occasions, earning his first two caps for Mali in March and June last year against Mauritania (friendly) and Madagascar (World Cup qualifier).
