Victory for Morocco in Africa Cup of Nations qualifier

The Morocco national team, which includes Schalke players Nassim Boujellab, Amine Harit and Hamza Mendyl, registered a victory in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Friday (13/11), defeating the Central African Republic 4-1 at Stade Mohammed V.

Hakim Ziyech scored a brace as well as goals from Achraf Hakimi and Zakaria Aboukhal. Louis Mafouta was the only goalscorer for the guests. Harit was introduced into the game from the bench with around 20 minutes to go, while Boujellab and Mendyl were unused substitutes.

Following the victory, Vahid Halilhodzic’s team remain in first place of qualifying group 3, with the reverse fixture taking place in Douala on Tuesday (17/11). Kick-off is 14:00 CET.
