FC Schalke 04 welcomes Blåkläder as its new sleeve partner
Starting with the 2026/2027 season, FC Schalke 04 will welcome the internationally renowned workwear specialist Blåkläder as its new sleeve and main partner. The name of the Swedish brand translates as “blue clothing,” creating a natural connection to the club’s Royal Blue identity. Above all, it is their shared values that matter: rolling up their sleeves, working as a team, and remaining reliable.
Royal Blue has always stood for dedication, solidarity, responsibility, and down-to-earthness. This is where the connection to Blåkläder – pronounced roughly “Blo-kleh-der” – lies: robust quality, safety, and durability for people who get the job done. The partnership will be visible on the sleeves of the first team’s jerseys and training kits. In addition, S04 and Blåkläder are planning joint initiatives to foster a sense of connection and allow members and fans to experience the shared values of both partners.
A shared approach as the foundation
Matthias Tillmann, CEO of Schalke 04, explains: “With Blåkläder, we are gaining a partner with whom we want to actively shape the future of FC Schalke 04 – on and off the field. Workwear stands for durability, safety, and reliability. These are precisely the qualities that form the foundation of the projects we are now embarking on together: From innovative activations to initiatives that bring a sense of connection, pride, and genuine hard work to life.”

We develop workwear for people who get their hands dirty every day and need to rely on their gear. At the same time, Schalke has an emotional, loyal, and active fan base – which is exactly what suits a brand focused on building long-term relationships. We look forward to bringing this partnership to life step by step together with the club and the fans.”
The Gustavsson family, owners of Blåkläder, says: “Blåkläder has grown over generations because we have always thought long-term. We’re not building the company for the short term, but for the next generation. The partnership with Schalke 04 aligns with this approach: It gives us visibility in an key market and connects us with a club that stands for dedication, unity, and consistency.”
