Suat Serdar: We should have seen the win out

Schalke were just seconds away from a fifth straight win in the Bundesliga. Coaches David Wagner and Achim Beierlorzer both agreed that a draw was a fair result. FC Schalke 04 advanced to the DFB Pokal round of 16 after winning 6-5 on penalties against 1. FC Köln. Jhon Cordoba put the home side ahead before Nabil Bentaleb equalised from the spot with only two minutes of normal time left to play. The Royal Blues had the upper hand throughout the penalty shoot-out as Köln missed their first spot kick.

Domenico Tedesco: Find the net and leave the pitch as winners

Schalke 04 are set to play FC Köln away on Wednesday (31st October) (KO 18:30 CET), where the teams will be battling for a place in the last 16 of the DFB-Pokal. Head coach Domenico Tedesco is looking forward to the match against the Bundesliga 2 side and says that the aim of the game is to "find the net and after the 90 minutes are up, we want to leave the pitch as winners."
