Ahmed Kutucu moves to Heracles Almelo

Ahmed Kutucu has joined Dutch side Heracles Almelo on loan until the end of the 2020/21 season. Both clubs agreed to keep the details of the deal undisclosed. The Turkish striker’s contract at FC Schalke 04 runs until 30th June 2022.

“Ahmed would like more game time, especially with the Euros coming up this summer. He will have a greater chance of playing more regularly in Almelo,” said Jochen Schneider, Head of Sport and Communication.

Kutucu joined the Knappenschmiede from Rot-Weiss Essen’s academy in 2011 and played for all of Schalke’s youth sides up to and including the U19s, winning the U17s Bundesliga West in 2017. The attacker made his first-team debut in a 1-1 draw in Augsburg in the Bundesliga on 15th December 2018.
