Assistant coach Peter Perchtold extends contract with S04 until 2021.

The Royal Blues have agreed a contract extension with assistant coach Peter Perchtold. His contract was due to expire on 30th June 2019, but has been extended by two years until 30th June 2021.

Peter Perchtold is a confident and knowledgeable coach who started at the same time as Domenico Tedesco. He is ideal for the role of assistant coach,” commented sporting director Christian Heidel.

“I’m very pleased with the faith the club has shown in me and see this as a testament to the work of the whole coaching team,” remarked the 34-year-old assistant coach who’s been at the club since 2017. Perchtold originally comes from Nuremberg and before coming to Schalke occupied the assistant coach role at 1. FSV Mainz 05.
