Benjamin Stambouli suffers foot injury

Benjamin Stambouli will be out of action for Schalke 04’s upcoming competitive games because of injury. The central defender broke a tarsal bone in his right foot in the 0-0 derby draw against Borussia Dortmund on Saturday (26.10).

Stambouli suffered his injury in the 20th minute in a tackle with Dortmund’s Achraf Hakimi, and as a result referee Dr. Felix Brych gave Hakimi a yellow card.

Depending on the recovery process, there is a chance that that the Schalke vice-captain may be back in action again before the end of the calendar year.
