Bernard Tekpetey moves to SC Paderborn 07

Ideal conditions: Bernard Tekpetey will now play for SC Paderborn 07. The Royal Blues have agreed a deal with the newly promoted second division side for the services of the Ghanaian attacker, who will move to the Ostwestfalen-based side on a three year contract until 30 June 2021. A buy-back clause has been included in the sale of the 20-year-old.

Bernard Tekpetey

Tekpetey was signed in February 2016 from the UniStar Soccer Academy in Ghana by Schalke U23s. In the summer of 2016 he made the leap to the first team and has since banked two Bundesliga caps and one Europa League appearance. In the first half of last season, he was loaned to Austrian Bundesliga aide SCR Altach, where he made ten appearances (one goal).
