Breel Embolo leaves Swiss squad with injury
Breel Embolo will not be available for the Swiss national side in their fixtures with Qatar (14/11) and Belgium (18/11). The striker picked up a metatarsal injury in the 3-0 defeat at Frankfurt, but still travelled to the national team's meeting today.
The Swiss football association, Schalke 04 and Embolo made the joint-decision on Monday (12/11), that Embolo would travel back to Gelsenkirchen. A CT scan showed the seriousness of his injury.
Nabil Bentaleb will also miss out on representing his home nation Algeria in Togo. The midfielder has back problems and will also stay at Schalke over the break.
