Breel Embolo moves to Borussia Mönchengladbach

Ultimately, we agreed on the transfer because Breel Embolo made it clear to us that he wanted a change,” explained Head of Sport Jochen Schneider. “Unfortunately, Breel didn’t have the best of times at Schalke due to his injuries. We would like to thank him for his tireless performances and his goals and wish him all the best for his future.”

Breel Embolo signed for the Royal Blues from FC Basel for the start of the 2016/17 season. The Swiss international played 81 times for S04, scoring 15 goals. His biggest success came as part of the side that finished second in the 2017/18 season.
