Cedric Teuchert to join Hannover 96 on loan

FC Schalke 04 striker Cedric Teuchert will join Bundesliga 2 side Hannover 96 on loan for the 2019/20 season. The 22 year-old’s current contract with the Royal Blues runs until 30th June 2021.

“After 18 months which haven’t been easy for him, it is important for Cedric to gather regular match time and to score goals,” said Royal Blues head of sport Jochen Schneider. “We believe he will best achieve this with an ambitious club such as Hannover 96, who are looking to secure instant promotion back to the Bundesliga.”

Teuchert joined FC Schalke 04 from 1. FC Nürnberg in January 2018. The Germany U21s international has gone on to make nine Bundesliga, four DFB-Pokal and two Champions League appearances for the Royal Blues.
