Danny Latza sidelined with a knee injury

A day after the 3-1 defeat to Hamburger SV, a diagnosis has been made on Danny Latza’s injury. The midfielder was subbed off after half an hour following a collision with Tim Leibold. Latza has been diagnosed with a lateral collateral knee ligament injury, and is set for a spell on the sidelines.

“First and foremost, we wish Danny all the best for a speedy recovery,” said sporting director Rouven Schröder. “His absence hurts us quite a bit, both on the pitch and personally. We will do everything we can to support our captain and to ensure that he returns to the pitch as soon as possible.”
