Dries Wouters signs for Lommel SK

Dries Wouters has permanently signed for Lommel SK in his native Belgium. All parties involved have agreed not to disclose further details of the transfer. The 26-year-old spent the past 18 months on loan at KV Mechelen.

The defender moved to Gelsenkirchen from Belgian club KRC Genk in the summer of 2021. Wouters played in three competitive games during his time at Schalke, having twice had long injury lay-offs due to ligament injures.
