FC Schalke 04 sign Ozan Kabak from Stuttgart

Despite interest from several other noteworthy clubs, Ozan Kabak has opted to join us,” said delighted Royal Blues head of sport Jochen Schneider. “Head coach David Wagner and technical director Michael Reschke deserve a lot of credit in convincing Ozan that joining FC Schalke 04 was the right step for him to take.”

The 19-year-old Turkish centre-back joined VfB Stuttgart in January from Galatasaray SK and went on to make 15 Bundesliga appearances in this season’s Rückrunde. Kabak also scored three goals for Stuttgart. He joined Galatasaray’s youth setup at the age of eleven before progressing through to the Istanbul club’s first team.
