Guido Burgstaller signs a contract extension until 2022

Guido Burgstaller never stops running or giving his all for the Royal Blues – and that will be the case for the next few years still: FC Schalke 04 have extended Guido Burgstaller’s contract until 30th June, 2022, after his current deal was due to expire in 2020.

“I’m so pleased that I will be playing for Schalke 04 for the next few years as it means so much to me,” said a delighted Guido Burgstaller. “I would like to thank everybody who has supported me during my time here. Now the important thing is that we all do everything we can to get ourselves out of this difficult situation in the Bundesliga.”

The Austrian international signed for FC Schalke 04 from 1. FC Nürnberg in January 2017. He has made 88 competitive appearances in the last two years, scoring 28 goals, as well as playing a big part in the side finishing second last season.
