Ilyes Hamache joins Amiens SC on loan

Ilyes Hamache is returning to Ligue 2 on loan, having joined Amiens SC for the rest of the season. FC Schalke 04 and the French second-tier side have agreed a one-year loan deal with an option to buy.

“It’s vital for Ilyes’ development that he picks up as much playing time as possible. He hasn’t had that at Schalke recently, so we’ve been looking for a good option for him and have found one in Amiens. We will continue to follow Ilyes’ development closely and we wish him all the best,” said director of professional football Youri Mulder.

Ilyes Hamache joined FC Schalke 04 from Valenciennes FC last summer. Since then, the 22-year-old has made 11 appearances in the 2. Bundesliga for the Royal Blues.
