Benjamin Stambouli has signed a new contract with the Royal Blues. His initial contract had expired on 30th June 2020, but the Frenchman has now penned a new deal until 2023.

Two Schalke players have left the club at the start of the weekend. Cedric Teuchert has moved to the capital, while Pablo Insua has made his move to Spain permanent.


Timo Becker signs a one-year contract

Bernard Tekpetey will join Ludogorets on loan

Bernard Tekpetey will spend two years on loan at Bulgarian giants Ludogorets Razgrad. The previous loan deal with Fortuna Düsseldorf was originally set to last until 2021, but has been cancelled prematurely. Tekpetey’s contract with Schalke is valid until 2023.


Jonas Carls joins Vitória Guimarães on loan

FC Schalke 04 have agreed a loan deal with Vitória Guimarães for Jonas Carls. The left back, who spent the second half of the season playing in the German third division for Viktoria Köln, will join the seventh placed team in Portugal’s top flight for the duration of 2020/2021. His contract with Schalke is until 30 June 2022.


Preseason programme: Gelsenkirchen, Herzlake and Austria

FC Schalke 04 have determined the key details regarding their preseason training programme ahead of 2020/21. In total, David Wagner's team will complete two training camps and play eight friendlies in order to best prepare for the new Bundesliga campaign. On Monday, 3 August, training will commence in Gelsenkirchen.

Juan Miranda to return to Spain early

FC Schalke 04 and Juan Miranda have agreed with FC Barcelona that the left back’s loan deal will end early and he has already returned to Spain. He was originally meant to stay in Gelsenkirchen until 30th June 2021.


Daniel Caligiuri to move to FC Augsburg

The 32-year-old, whose contract was running out at Schalke, will move to FC Augsburg. His new club announced the move on Monday (29/6).

Suat Serdar out for the season

Suat Serdar will not feature for FC Schalke 04 again this season after scans revealed that the Germany international suffered a partial ligament tear in his left knee during the home game against FC Augsburg on Sunday.

Ralf Fährmann returns to train with Schalke

Ralf Fährmann is officially on loan at Norwegian top flight side Brann Bergen until 30 June, but is returning ahead of schedule to train with Schalke 04.


Ralf Fährmann joins SK Brann on loan until the end of the season

Goalkeeper Ralf Fährmann has joined SK Brann on a loan deal until 30th June 2020. He was previously on loan at Norwich City, but has now agreed a deal with the three-time Norwegian champions, which FC Schalke 04 agreed to.


Ozan Kabak out for between nine and 12 weeks

S04 defender Ozan Kabak suffered a transverse process fracture of his lumbar vertebrae after an aerial duel in Köln last Saturday (29/2).

Nick Taitague extends his contract until 30th June 2021

Ligament injury: Daniel Caligiuiri sidelined

FC Schalke 04 will have to do without the services of Daniel Caligiuiri for the coming weeks. The 32-year-old suffered a partial ligament rupture after a challenge with Maximilian Mittelstädt during the 3-2 win in the Last 16 of the DFB Pokal against Hertha BSC on Tuesday.
