Matthias Kreutzer to take charge of the game against Hertha BSC

FC Schalke 04’s sporting management and board have agreed that Matthias Kreutzer will take charge of Sunday’s away game at Hertha BSC (17:30 CEST) as interim coach. The 39-year-old previously took on this responsibility in last season’s 3-0 away win against Ingolstadt. Kreutzer will be supported by Mike Büskens, Beniamino Molinari and Simon Henzler.

The club’s sporting management commented: “The coaching team, led by Matthias Kreutzer, will be able to best prepare the squad for the important game in Berlin in the short space of time we have. We will continue to look at all potential options we have for the role of head coach. We have a responsibility towards all 165,000 club members and the millions of fans we have.”
