Ligament injury: Daniel Caligiuiri sidelined

FC Schalke 04 will have to do without the services of Daniel Caligiuiri for the coming weeks. The 32-year-old suffered a partial ligament rupture after a challenge with Maximilian Mittelstädt during the 3-2 win in the Last 16 of the DFB Pokal against Hertha BSC on Tuesday.

The midfielder is expected to miss up to eight weeks. Suat Serdar, Jonjoe Kenny and Weston McKennie were also absent from training due to ankle problems, while Salif Sané (knee), Benjamin Stambouli (foot) and Markus Schubert (patellar tendon) are all yet to return to fitness.
