Marius Müller completes move to VfL Wolfsburg

Marius Müller will leave FC Schalke 04 after a season in order to join VfL Wolfsburg. The 30-year-old was still under contract at the Royal Blues until 30th June 2025. Both parties have agreed to keep the details of the contract undisclosed.

“We presented Marius with the offer of a contract extension a few weeks ago, which he turned down,” Marc Wilmots explained on behalf of the club’s sporting management. Instead, the goalkeeper shared that he wanted to leave the club. “We were able to grant this request because the financial conditions were right and we had already reached an agreement on the transfer of Ron-Thorben Hoffmann, who was able to showcase his quality last season. We would like to thank Marius for his efforts, as he was a key part in us securing safety. We wish him all the best for the future, both personally and professionally.”
