Mark Uth allowed to return home after night in the hospital

Good news regarding Mark Uth! The Royal Blues’ attacker has been given the all-clear to return home after spending the night in hospital under observation. Uth briefly lost consciousness after clashing heads with FC Augsburg’s Felix Uduokhai as they contested a header in the early stages of Sunday’s game in Bavaria.

The 29-year-old is doing well following his release from the clinic in Augsburg. He will undergo further examination and will continue to receive treatment from the FC Schalke 04 medical department back in Gelsenkirchen. It is not yet clear when the left-footer will be able to return to training.

Uth posted on his Instagram profile shortly after the match and thanked everyone for the messages of support that he received.
