Germany U19 international Max Grüger signs professional contract

U19 defensive midfielder Max Grüger has signed a professional contract with FC Schalke 04. The Germany youth international has put pen to paper on a deal until 30th June 2026.

“Max Grüger’s contract extension shows that we’re very much on the path we’ve set out. We want to put more and more focus on our own young talent and help to develop them as much as possible so that they can make the step-up to the first team,” said Marc Wilmots on behalf of the management.

Grüger himself is happy to have signed a professional contract. “I’m proud that I’ve been given the chance to keep on exhibiting my talents and be able to make the next step. I’m very thankful to the club for that,” said the Gelsenkirchen-born youngster.
