Michael Langer to undergo an operation after tearing his ACL
FC Schalke 04 goalkeeper Michael Langer unfortunately tore his ACL during a collision in training. The Austrian will therefore be out injured for several months. The 36-year-old will undergo an operation on Sunday (26/9).
Langer played in the opening two games this season against Hamburger SV and Holstein Kiel. “We’re so sad for Michi. This is such an unfortunate situation. We’re all keeping our fingers crossed for his operation,” said sporting director Rouven Schröder. “He will get all the support he needs from us to recover from this injury. We’re already looking forward to having him back.”
