“The most important thing for Nabil now is to be able to prove his undeniable skill at a level he is used. We wish him all the best for the second half of the season at Newcastle,” said Head of Sport Jochen Schneider.

Nabil Bentaleb first joined the club on loan from Tottenham Hotspur in 2016, before being signed on a permanent deal in 2017. The 25-year-old has gone on to make 97 appearances for the club in the Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal, Champions League and Europa league, in which he scored 19 goals. Bentaleb has spent most of the current season with the U23 side after recovering from a knee operation. He had made 2 appearances for the Regionalliga side so far after an injury hit season.
