Nabil Bentaleb loaned to Newcastle until 30th June 2020
Nabil Bentaleb has returned to the Premier League to sign on loan for Newcastle United until the end of the season. The English side will also have an option to buy the Algerian international, with his contract at S04 due to run out at the end of June 2021.
“The most important thing for Nabil now is to be able to prove his undeniable skill at a level he is used. We wish him all the best for the second half of the season at Newcastle,” said Head of Sport Jochen Schneider.
Nabil Bentaleb first joined the club on loan from Tottenham Hotspur in 2016, before being signed on a permanent deal in 2017. The 25-year-old has gone on to make 97 appearances for the club in the Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal, Champions League and Europa league, in which he scored 19 goals. Bentaleb has spent most of the current season with the U23 side after recovering from a knee operation. He had made 2 appearances for the Regionalliga side so far after an injury hit season.
