Ozan Kabak joins TSG 1899 Hoffenheim

Ozan Kabak has left Schalke to join TSG 1899 Hoffenheim with immediate effect. Both parties have agreed not to disclose the details of the transfer. The centre-back’s contract with Schalke was set to run until the end of the 2023/24 season. He spent last season on loan at Premier League side, Norwich City.

“It became clear that a move was the best option under the current circumstances. We are therefore pleased that we have been able to reach a transfer that suits both sides – for us on the economic front and for the player on the sporting front. The loan moves and the transfer free have created a good overall package. We thank Ozan for this commitment and we wish him all the best for the future” explained sporting director Rouven Schröder.
