PCR-Test confirms Peter Knäbel has Coronavirus

After a positive rapid test on Friday (3.12.), a PCR-Test has confirmed that Peter Knäbel, Schalke’s board member for sport and communication, has contracted Covid-19. He is fully vaccinated and has no symptoms. The 55-year-old went straight into isolation at home after his rapid test and will remain there.

In the preceding days, he had no contact with the first team, who play against FC St. Pauli on Saturday (4.12.) at 20:30 CET. The daily rapid tests came back negative for all the players and members of staff who travelled to Hamburg.
