Positive PCR test – Head coach Dimitrios Grammozis contracts Covid-19

A PCR test carried out on Thursday (December 2nd) returned a positive result for Schalke 04 head coach Dimitrios Grammozis. He will now remain in isolation at home.

Dimitrios Grammozis

The Royal Blues were already expecting Grammozis to be absent for the game against St. Pauli on Saturday (Dec. 4th). His symptoms were aligned with a Corona infection, and they have been too severe for him to take any training sessions this week. Since the home game against SV Sandhausen, the 43-year-old has had no further contact with the squad or his coaching staff, who are taking a Lateral Flow test daily.

The club hopes for a swift and full recovery for Dimitrios Grammozis!
