Ralf Fährmann back in team training
After spending two weeks in quarantine, Ralf Fährmann has returned to team training. The goalkeeper tested positive for coronavirus on 19 July and was therefore unable to help Schalke in the first two league games of the season against Hamburger SV and Holstein Kiel.
Marius Bülter, Dominick Drexler and Thomas Ouwejan did not take part in the week’s first session. All three trained individually for workload reduction purposes. Malick Thiaw was also absent from training – the defender was taken off injured during Schalke’s 3-0 win in Kiel.
