S04 appeal Nastasic red card

Schalke had to finish their first game of the new Bundesliga season with ten men. After a tackle by Matija Nastasic on Wout Weghorst, the video assistant intervened and referee Patrick Ittrich subsequently changed his decision from a yellow to a red card for the Schalke centre-half.

The DFB’s sport tribunal had given Nastasic a two-match ban yesterday (28th August), however Schalke have now subsequently appealed the decision within the 24 hour deadline.
